The concept of Urban Ecotourism for Delhi was first published as a Book Chapter by Dr. Govind Singh in 2012 in the Book titled, Landscape Fragmentation and Restoration Researches in India (Edited by Prof. Prafulla Soni, FRI). It was since used as a tool for generating environmental awareness and for promoting urban stakeholdership in the people of Delhi by the Delhi Greens NGO.
A fresh research was conducted to explore and identify the livelihood generation potential of urban ecotourism in Delhi. Citizens of Delhi as well as tourists in Delhi were surveyed for this research and the findings were published in a National Workshop.
