Media Project for Scaling-up Eco Club Activities in DU Colleges

Setting up of Eco Clubs is part of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change’s National Green Corps Scheme. As part of this scheme, schools (and colleges) are encouraged to set up Eco Clubs for generating environmental awareness in the students. Many such Eco Clubs exist in the constituent colleges of the University of Delhi some of which are also financially supported by the Government of NCT of Delhi’s Department of Environment.

A Media assignment based Project was conceptualized as the Semester-long Internal Assessment Project for the students of Delhi School of Journalism, University of Delhi for reporting and therefore promoting the often under-reported activities of the Eco Clubs that have been set up in the different colleges of the University of Delhi. This was a group exercise and First Year students of DSJ were asked to select one or two colleges per group and were mentored to prepare a report on the activities of Eco Clubs in respective colleges.

Some of the reports have been archived below.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that these are reports prepared by students and have not been reviewed and authenticated by respective colleges or any faculty of any college/ Eco Club. These reports should be taken as initial findings. The reports cannot be used for any audit purpose. For the purpose of copyright, the reports must be treated at par with media entries.
